Emily and Ismail were actually married during the pandemic in a short and sweet ceremony at the courthouse. They decided it was time for elopement style photos to mark the special occasion and get the wedding photos of their dreams after the pandemic smashed their original plans.

The absolute best part about our job is getting to watch families grow. We also photographed mom Ashleigh’s college grad photos, Jp’s proposal, their engagement photos, their wedding, their pregnancy photos and now we finally got to capture this precious boy. We can not wait to watch this adorable babe grow up too!

Read MoreThere will never be another wedding quite like Mike & Molly’s big day over at The Pavilion at Weatherly in Southern Maryland. This place, this couple and their family and friends were just incredible. This view on the water made a breathtaking backdrop and it also faces west which means it’s one of the very few places on the east coast that gets a sunset over the water!
Read MoreWe had a blast with these two at The Quarry! The Quarry is a privately owned quarry in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia that makes you feel like you are in the tropics with it’s crystal clear water and white sand beach. These two danced to their favorite song, practicing their first dance for their wedding next year. They took the row boat out for a little spin. They had a splash fight and since they were already wet, they went for a swim too. We can’t wait to have fun with these two again next year when they officially tie the knot!

Read MoreCan you believe this quarry is in West Virginia?? It’s only about an hour away from Washington DC and it looks like a cenote in Mexico with its crystal clear waters and white sand beaches. It’s rocky walls and lush trees compliment the super deep turquoise water and this quarry is spring fed so the water is always cool and fresh. The new owners have been adding onto this property for the past several years and are ready to open for private weddings and events.
Read MoreWe Collaborated with AW Bridal for this styled shoot outside of Boulder, Colorado in Black Hawk. We had so much fun with our model Jamie. AW Bridal reached out to us just in time as we were planning our trip to Colorado and we knew these two dresses would be perfect! The bridesmaid dress AW Stretto in Burnished Gold was literally shimmering in this sunlight. It’s made out of velvet with an A-line silhouette perfect for any body type and any season. The AW Paula Wedding Dress also stunned on this mountain top. The dress is perfect for a bohemian look or modern boho western, we decided to style it both ways for this shoot. This is such a unique wedding dress with it’s crop top and maxi skirt cut with lots of texture and flowy fabric to complete that boho look. We really loved collaborating with AW Bridal, click on the link to check out their collection!
Read MoreThis elopement styled shoot at the base of the Flat Irons in Chautauqua Park in Boulder, Colorado has to be one of my favorites. Ashly & Alex are married and have been together for over 11 years. We took a trip to Boulder with the whole family and our 6 year old helped us capture this adventure style elopement.
Read MoreWe traveled to Boulder, Colorado for a few days and went rock climbing with these two. This slab wall was a 5.7 about 100 ft, an easy climb for them but our time was limited and nothing is easy to get to in Colorado. We hiked, crossed over a creek and climbed a boulder field just to get here. Later in the week we checked out the Flat Irons in Chautauqua Park in Boulder, Colorado and snapped a few more of these love birds. We are really missing Colorado, if you are looking for a real adventurous couples session or elopement just let us know and we will run to the airport!

It was a little chilly that day but we got the most amazing sunset to keep us warm. We had the whole place to ourselves which is CRAZY, this cliff is usually packed. We were really able to take our time to create these amazing keepsakes for this sweet couple and for baby in the future to look back on.

Read MoreOn the blog today is E +M’s intimate January wedding in Hillsboro, Virginia at The Hidden View Bed & Breakfast. These two tied the knot next to a cozy fireplace surrounded by their two boys, parents and siblings in a short but very sweet ceremony officiated by Ron Petrella. We didn’t have to go far for pictures, The Hidden View B&B has a gorgeous view of rural Loudoun County right in their front yard. We took the whole family outside for sunset photos in the barely snow covered ground where E braved the cold in her beautiful gown. They had a personal chef Meagan Morris of Palate Sensations prepare an amazing meal for them at a beautifully set table for a quiet dinner with their loved ones.
These two lovebirds met in high school and stayed really good friends for years before realizing their love for one another. Congrats again E + M for finally tying the knot! Cheers to your new adventures together as husband and wife!!

Read MoreI shot Kensley and Jason’s engagement session on Theodore Roosevelt Island in Washington DC in November. We had the perfect timing for the leaf peak and decent temperatures. We had a blast exploring the island and we actually made it all the way around! I can guarantee no one else has these views of the Watergate Hotel and the Kennedy Center because we caught low tide and were able to cut through the woods to find this tiny beach which was super secluded. We also got views of Georgetown Waterfront, the Key Bridge and Rosslyn, so glad these two were game for exploring!
