Schyler and Emil came all the way from the UK to elope on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia. They wanted to elope at sunrise so they could take the entire day to spend together hiking in the mountains.

The Quarry, a Unique Wedding Venue in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia.

Can you believe this quarry is in West Virginia?? It’s only about an hour away from Washington DC and it looks like a cenote in Mexico with its crystal clear waters and white sand beaches. It’s rocky walls and lush trees compliment the super deep turquoise water and this quarry is spring fed so the water is always cool and fresh. The new owners have been adding onto this property for the past several years and are ready to open for private weddings and events.

Harpers Ferry Spring River Elopement with M+B

On the blog today is M + B’s May 1st wedding in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia and Knoxville Maryland. These two tied the knot on a surprisingly chilly May day. It was calling for crazy rain all day. About an hour before their ceremony while Meaghan was getting ready it rained buckets and then, as if the sky knew these two were to be married the rain stopped and held off for the rest of the night!

We had a blast exploring the ruins at School House Ridge, a part of the Harpers Ferry National Park right outside of town. We love getting to know our couples before the big day. Winter Adventure Elopement at Weverton Cliffs outside of Harpers Ferry

This Adventure Elopement was so epic with D & I outside of Harpers Ferry in Knoxville, Maryland. These two tied the knot on a very cold, very windy, beautiful sunny day. It was 25 degrees that day with 38-51mph winds, probably colder and higher winds up on that cliff! Love kept these two warm!

Hetal & Chirag's Engagement Session in Harpers Ferry

Hetal and Chirag were an absolute DREAM!!! I shot Hetal and Chirag’s engagement session in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. These two are set to tie the knot next year in Arizona so they wanted an east coast adventure complete with fall colors for their session. We started at the overlook and headed down to the waterfalls and out to the river for a lantern lit sesh to end the evening. Loved hangin with these two, congrats again! Caroline & Darin's Adventure Elopement in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia

Caroline & Darin were married November 19th 2021. These two contacted us and said hey whenever you have available next, we want to come to Harpers Ferry and elope! So with 5 days to plan, Caroline and Darin were able to get their florals from CM Bloomers out of Brunswick Maryland on short notice and we were off and with color still on the trees even! We had take our shoes off to walk through some VERY cold water to get out on the little island but these two were troopers and adventured with us all around Harpers Ferry. The most beautiful sunsets are after a storm. the light angled right in between the heavy cloud cover and the mountains right before it hits the horizon…perfection! These two have a special memory of Darin teaching Caroline how to wobble at a friends wedding in the beginning of their relationship so we had to wobble on their special day!

Shenandoah River Family Photo Session in Harpers Ferry

She reached out to me to capture her own family and it is such an honor to shoot another photographer’s family photos. We went to the Shenandoah River in Harpers Ferry in our neighborhood and played with their 3 year old sweet boy. We had so much fun, can every family session be in the water please??

Spring Family Session at Airlie in Warrenton Virginia

We photographed this gorgeous family session at the Airlie Center in Warrenton, Virginia. We had the run of the entire place and we had a blast with these 3 kiddos!

This family chose the Airlie Center to have their family photos because they were actually married there! We went back and toured all the areas where they said their vows and took pictures on their wedding day so now they will have photos of them as a family, full circle! We absolutely loved hanging with this family and photographing their super special photo session. Thank you to Airlie Center for letting us capture these on their amazing property!
