Winter Wedding Bliss in Harpers Ferry with M + J

Coming to you on the blog today is M + J’s January wedding in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia and Knoxville Maryland. These two tied the knot on a very cold beautiful sunny day. It was calling for a high of 10 degrees that day! Love kept these two warm!

We met up with M + J at The Wedding Niche where they were finishing getting ready. We headed down to the river in separate cars and they had their first look on the bank of the Potomac River. We took some photos and then they had a private vow exchange. We then took them into Harpers Ferry to have their practice first dance on top of Jefferson Rock overlooking the confluence of the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers.

She reached out to me to capture her own family and it is such an honor to shoot another photographer’s family photos. We went to the Shenandoah River in Harpers Ferry in our neighborhood and played with their 3 year old sweet boy. We had so much fun, can every family session be in the water please??

Harpers Ferry Proposal with Jonathan & Caroline

Jonathan’s proposal was packed full of surprises for unsuspecting Caroline!

Caroline just thought she was going on a short walk with a long time friend in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia when Jonathan had an entirely different day for her planned. She was shocked to find her boyfriend waiting on a cliff for her. He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. SHE SAID YES!

Harpers Ferry Maternity Session

Heather and Landon are expecting their first baby! This sweet mama-to-be is due in June and she was absolutely radiant for her maternity portrait session. We photographed their maternity session in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. We were lucky to have gorgeous weather and a perfect sun soaked evening while touring some of the best overlooks in Harpers Ferry.
