Motherhood Session in Manassas Pine Forest with A + S

I bet you wouldn’t believe me if I told you this pine forest was actually in Manassas, Virginia? Yup! This couple wanted a pine forest motherhood session in Northern Virginia and we made it happen. I can’t believe this place even exists in our area. We asked some local residents (Christine’s parents) who walk regularly in the area (gotta get those steps in!) to scout out a pine forest and man did they deliver!

A + S first came to us for their engagement photos in 2020 with their pup Oakley. At the time Oakley had just been diagnosed with cancer and was starting chemotherapy, they didn’t know how much time they had left with her, so they included her in their engagement photos right before she lost all her fur. When we saw her little happy puppy face walking up to us at this shoot two years later, we couldn’t have been happier to see her! This motherhood session was extra magical. We are so happy for these soon to be parents and big sis Oakley. We can’t wait to photograph their little one with Oakley soon!
