Get to know us!
We like to get to know our families and couples, so it’s only fair you get to know a little bit about us!
We met through mutual friends. Danny proposed with a real live penguin and it totally worked and we’ve been married for 10 years now, together for 13.
We both learned in the darkroom as teenagers. Christine started with film cameras at age 14, studying photography all throughout high school. She went on to the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale to earn her degree in the Science of Photography with an emphasis on Fashion Advertising. After graduating, Christine went on to assist and work in many high end studios in Miami. When she moved back to Virginia she started her retouching career working with advertising photographers and advertising agencies, retouching for clients like: Sony, Frito Lay, Marlboro, countless celebrities and magazines. We created Love & Sol Photography in 2016 and have loved shooting weddings and families the last several years.
Photography is also what we do in our free time with our 8 year old son River. He is an awesome photographer who’s been featured on Canon and Peta Pixel! Go follow him on Instagram @river.photographs We live on top of a mountain in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia with the Appalachian Trail literally at our doorway. We are crazy about animals and have quite the menagerie at home that includes a bulldog, a peacock, 6 chickens, 2 ducks, coral reef tank and a few dozen fish. We love mountains, long walks on the beach, hiking, pizza and bonfires. And of course, our favorite thing is creating art with awesome humans in love.

We have a dog and it was really important for us to have him in our wedding and in a lot of our wedding photos. We got married in Virginia but currently live in San Francisco, CA, so we didn’t even meet them until our wedding day! For our wedding day, they were able to capture the most amazing photos of our dog, they even brought a squeaky toy for him!
