She wanted an intimate adventure style ceremony and he wanted a reception full of friends and family to dance the night away. They created a hybrid style wedding so each of them could have the wedding of their dreams. In the morning they invited family and a few close friends to their ceremony on the river.

Melanie & Jacob decided to create a hybrid style wedding, an adventure elopement but with close family and friends and it was SO perfect! They brought along their family and friends on a short hike down to the Potomac River and had their beautiful ceremony on the river banks not far from their reception venue The Wedding Niche.

Jenna and JP had the sweetest ceremony under the golden fall trees on JP’s family’s land. JP got ready in his Grandparents home on one end of the property and Jenna got ready in JP’s childhood home on the other end.

October 9th they married at the Battlefield Bed and Breakfast surrounded by all their favorite people. We had perfect sunny, hot weather. They had their sweet ceremony in the garden and reception in the historic barn complete with TWO epic Pittsburgh cookie tables filled with sweets. These two Army vets cut their cake with a saber and licked it too.

Wow! These two were STUNNING on their wedding day in Baltimore at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco. They are BOTH architects so we focused on the amazing interior architecture with it’s TWO matching marble staircases that are rich with B&O Railroad history as well as the entire Baltimore city skyline with the inner harbor in the foreground from Federal Hill Park.

M & M get married in Southern Maryland at The Pavilion at Weatherly

There will never be another wedding quite like Mike & Molly’s big day over at The Pavilion at Weatherly in Southern Maryland. This place, this couple and their family and friends were just incredible. This view on the water made a breathtaking backdrop and it also faces west which means it’s one of the very few places on the east coast that gets a sunset over the water!

The Quarry, a Unique Wedding Venue in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia.

Can you believe this quarry is in West Virginia?? It’s only about an hour away from Washington DC and it looks like a cenote in Mexico with its crystal clear waters and white sand beaches. It’s rocky walls and lush trees compliment the super deep turquoise water and this quarry is spring fed so the water is always cool and fresh. The new owners have been adding onto this property for the past several years and are ready to open for private weddings and events.

We Collaborated with AW Bridal for this styled shoot outside of Boulder, Colorado in Black Hawk. We had so much fun with our model Jamie. AW Bridal reached out to us just in time as we were planning our trip to Colorado and we knew these two dresses would be perfect! The bridesmaid dress AW Stretto in Burnished Gold was literally shimmering in this sunlight. It’s made out of velvet with an A-line silhouette perfect for any body type and any season. The AW Paula Wedding Dress also stunned on this mountain top. The dress is perfect for a bohemian look or modern boho western, we decided to style it both ways for this shoot. This is such a unique wedding dress with it’s crop top and maxi skirt cut with lots of texture and flowy fabric to complete that boho look. L+M's Spring Wedding in Charlottesville, Virginia

L+M were married on May 7th on her family’s property in Charlottesville, Virginia. These two tied the knot on a surprisingly chilly rainy May day. It was calling for crazy rain all day but these two lucked out with only a few moments of drizzle.

Winter Adventure Elopement at Weverton Cliffs outside of Harpers Ferry

This Adventure Elopement was so epic with D & I outside of Harpers Ferry in Knoxville, Maryland. These two tied the knot on a very cold, very windy, beautiful sunny day. It was 25 degrees that day with 38-51mph winds, probably colder and higher winds up on that cliff! Love kept these two warm!

Winter Micro Wedding in Hillsboro, Virginia at Hidden View B&B with E + M

On the blog today is E +M’s intimate January wedding in Hillsboro, Virginia at The Hidden View Bed & Breakfast. These two tied the knot next to a cozy fireplace surrounded by their two boys, parents and siblings in a short but very sweet ceremony officiated by Ron Petrella. We didn’t have to go far for pictures, The Hidden View B&B has a gorgeous view of rural Loudoun County right in their front yard. We took the whole family outside for sunset photos in the barely snow covered ground where E braved the cold in her beautiful gown. They had a personal chef Meagan Morris of Palate Sensations prepare an amazing meal for them at a beautifully set table for a quiet dinner with their loved ones.

These two lovebirds met in high school and stayed really good friends for years before realizing their love for one another. Congrats again E + M for finally tying the knot! Cheers to your new adventures together as husband and wife!!

Winter Wedding Bliss in Harpers Ferry with M + J

Coming to you on the blog today is M + J’s January wedding in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia and Knoxville Maryland. These two tied the knot on a very cold beautiful sunny day. It was calling for a high of 10 degrees that day! Love kept these two warm!

We met up with M + J at The Wedding Niche where they were finishing getting ready. We headed down to the river in separate cars and they had their first look on the bank of the Potomac River. We took some photos and then they had a private vow exchange. We then took them into Harpers Ferry to have their practice first dance on top of Jefferson Rock overlooking the confluence of the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers.

Alicia & Adam were married 15 years ago, today actually. They said their vows again on November 13th 2021 at Harpers Ferry Brewing with their family, friends and a reunion with their old bridal party. Ya know, their minister said it right, you really don’t know the weight of your vows or even what love really means until down the road…and a few kids later. They had the sweetest ceremony that had everyone crying and we had a blast with their bridal party. Harpers Ferry Brewing has amazing beer and pizza, stunning views and who doesn’t like hanging around a bon fire listening to live music? Super fun afternoon celebrating 15 years together!
