Carolyn and Derek’s couples session in Harpers Ferry was epic. We visited Jefferson Rock, St. Peters, we walked around the city streets and then down to the waterfalls. They left the kids at home with a babysitter and spent the evening with just each other….well and us for a little bit! An adventure couples photo session during sunset and dinner afterwards is the perfect date night and such a wonderful way to celebrate your marriage.

We headed to Shipyard Park, the docks on the waterfront and the tunnel in Alexandria, Virginia to shoot their engagement session. We absolutely love how these turned out, watching the moon rise over the water with the lights from the MGM sparkling in the distance was so magical. Blue hour is our new favorite time to shoot! Congrats to Maggie and Chris for starting this new journey together, we can’t wait to see more of their love story as it unfolds!
Read MoreIf you couldn’t tell, we had a blast with Molly & Mike. We had a few minutes with the black clouds hovering over us before the storm unleashed on us. It was CRAZY. We got out of the rain and into the whiskey under the gazebo and out on the balcony. We watched the storm until it was off into the distance while we listened to the rain and thunder and danced to The Avett Brothers. We ran out onto the dock and they jumped in the river. It was some serious Notebook vibes. We ran around the yard and ended up in the pool where we listened to the Dirty Dancing soundtrack and did some Dirty Dancing moves in the last of the rain. We can die happy. This session was a dream! We can’t wait for their wedding next June!

Caroline just thought she was going on a short walk with a long time friend in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia when Jonathan had an entirely different day for her planned. She was shocked to find her boyfriend waiting on a cliff for her. He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. SHE SAID YES!

They are both healthcare workers, Eli being on the front lines fighting COVID so as you can imagine 2020 was just an insane year for both of them but it also included a ray of light when Jacob asked Eli to marry him! We shot their engagement photos in Georgetown, Washington DC in a gorgeous home with an incredible kitchen, backyard and rooftop. It was pretty windy on the water that morning and the flower petals “rained” down on us creating some pretty MAGICAL moments.
