2LT Brand's Commissioning Ceremony
Congratulations to 2nd Lieutenant Kyle Brand! January 4th was his commissioning ceremony held on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
He has been working towards this moment since he was 17 years old, almost 10 years. Second Lieutenant Kyle Brand is being commissioned as an Armor Officer and will serve on Active Duty. He received his shoulder boards from his Father, CPL Chad Brand (RET) and his Step-Father, SFC Cody Powell. His first salute was rendered by his Grandfather, SCPO Michael Adinolfi (RET). 2LT Brand has received the Army Commendation Medal, 2 Army Achievement Medals, the Afghan Service Ribbon, the Combat Action Badge, and the Army Good Conduct Medal. Brand served as the cadet Sergeant Major of the Patriot Battalion, competed on the ranger challenge team and has been on the Dean’s list for 3 semesters at George Mason University.
It was also a very special day for 2LT Brand’s Step Father SFC Cody Powell. Cody has reenlisted into the Army and Kyle administered his Oath of enlistment.
We were beyond honored to photograph this event. Kyle, his wife Ginger and their entire family are so kind, amazing and so much fun! Kyle, you my friend, are hilarious and we hope you keep a smile on your face and those around you at Fort Benning! We so appreciate your and your family’s sacrifice. Thank you for your service-2LT Kyle Brand, CPL Chad Brand, SFC Cody Powell and SCPO Michael Adinolfi!
