Pine Forest Winter Elopement in Northern Virginia with Ashley & Bailey

On Christmas this year these two were buzzing with excitement because the very next day they had a big secret! These two secretly eloped on December 26th. They planned and kept it a secret from everyone for 2 weeks before the big day. They planned casual dinners with members of their family the following week to reveal their big secret! What a sweet and exciting way to tie the knot!

Milkshake dates at Chick-Fil-A are kinda their thing, so when planning their elopement day we asked them to think about a day that totally described their vibe as a couple, a milkshake stop was on the list. So after Ashley and Bailey eloped at Ciao Bella in Warrenton, Virginia we headed to the closest Chick-Fil-A for milkshakes. After their first official Mr & Mrs milkshake date we headed to this Pine Forest for their first dance, photos and cake! This pine forest is a gem in Northern Virginia and perfectly set the vibe for a winter elopement in December.

Elopements have become a popular trend for couples looking for a more intimate and personal wedding experience. With just the couple and the natural surroundings, elopements offer a unique opportunity to capture the beauty of love in its purest form.

Benefits of an Elopement:

Elopements offer a more relaxed and stress-free environment for the couple, allowing them to focus on what really matters- each other. With fewer guests and distractions, the couple can have a truly intimate and special day.

Choosing the Perfect Location:

When it comes to elopements, the location is everything. From scenic mountains to serene beaches, the surroundings set the tone for the day. Consider the couple's personalities and interests when choosing a location.

The Importance of a Photographer:

A photographer is essential for capturing all the special moments of an elopement. They help to document the day and create beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.

Tips for Capturing the Perfect Shots:

As a photographer, it's important to be prepared and to know how to capture the essence of the day. Here are some tips:

  1. Get to know the couple and their vision for the day.

  2. Be mindful of the light and use it to your advantage.
